Your donations go towards our Bursary Fund which provides a life-changing experience to the students who need it most.

Decide what to do and get creative! Events and fundraisers that are personal to you make the most impact. Whether you dive into a bake sale, dance party, host a livestream, open mic night, garage sale, bottle drive, bike-a-thon or trivia night, your actions will create waves of change.

Spread the word about your fundraiser and ask your friends and family to support. Ask yourself why are you fundraising for Sea Smart and share your motivation with others. Your personal story will inspire donors. The more people you tell, the quicker you’ll reach your goal!

Host your fundraiser, thank your donors and let them know how well you did! Show us your amazing fundraising efforts by tagging us on Instagram or Facebook.
Finally, submit your funds to Sea Smart’s Giving Group on Charitable Impact to receive a tax receipt.

Celebrate an event
For Naomi’s sixth birthday, instead of presents, she asked everyone to give donations to whale conservation! She also started education campaigns throughout her school to teach students and families about ocean threats.

Surfrider held a documentary night at Vancouver Urban Winery! Documentary nights are a fun and educational way to easily raise funds. Why not have some fun and make it a costume party too?
