Medicines in Our Backyard: An Autumn Plant Medicine Walk by the Water

  • Cariboo Road Burnaby, BC, V3N 4A3 Canada (map)

Step into autumn by joining Sea Smart and Knowledge Carrier Lorelei Lyons for a Plant Medicine Walk! We will meet at the Burnaby Lake Regional Park Trailhead on Cariboo Road and walk along the trail towards Burnaby Lake. We will learn about a variety of Indigenous medicines, and Lorelei will share stories about the river, trees and plants, and how they have supported communities for thousands of years. We will end the workshop by learning the Algonquin Women’s Water song and reflecting on the role of freshwater in our lives.
